I’ve just bought a new book! It hasn’t arrived yet but it’s on it’s way! It’s called “Wildsville: The Art of Derek Yaniger”. This is one of his prints I found on his website “One for the Road”. It has such a great use of colour and detail. The more you look into the scene, the more you see! I’m hoping to set up my own little screenprinting studio in the next few months. Can’t wait!

I found this illustration whilst researching the animators on ‘The Ricky Gervais Show’. It’s by Craig Kellman and is just the sort of style I adore. Look at the way the ears aren’t actually attached – just cheekily hovering. The colours and textures are just gorgeous! Definitely one for my inspiration scrapbook!

Mad Men has to be my absolute favourite show on TV at the moment. I find it so fascinating – the fashion, style, design, politics and culture. I love it even more when I can imagine my own grandparents living in the same era, wearing the same style clothes and living by the same bizarre rules. Makes me want to dig out the old photos to compare!
The opening title sequence (by Imaginary Forces) is just mesmerizing and really sums up the era and how everything was about to change so dramatically. It gives a huge nod to the gorgeous designs of Saul Bass, in particular the poster for the film ‘Vertigo’…
